Connect to Claude

Add this tool to Claude and it can draw causal loop diagrams while you talk. Describe a messy, recurring problem; Claude draws the loops in the chat, you open the same diagram here to edit it by hand, and Claude carries on from your version. The diagram is stored on this site so both of you can see it. See the privacy page for what is kept.

Claude

  1. Open Claude and go to Settings, then Connectors.
  2. Choose to add a custom connector.
  3. Paste the URL above and save.
  4. Start a chat and describe a situation you want to understand.

In a Claude Team or Enterprise organization, only an owner can add custom connectors. Ask yours to add it for the team, or use one of the setups below.

Claude Code

Run this in a terminal, then start a new Claude Code session:

claude mcp add --scope user --transport http loops https://loops.thijsmorlion.com/mcp

Claude Desktop

Claude Desktop also reads servers from its config file. It needs Node.js installed.

  1. In Claude Desktop, go to Settings, then Developer, and choose Edit Config. This opens claude_desktop_config.json.
  2. Add the loops entry below under mcpServers and save.
  3. Quit and reopen Claude Desktop.
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "loops": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "mcp-remote",
        "https://loops.thijsmorlion.com/mcp"
      ]
    }
  }
}

Your organization’s settings can still block these servers. The diagram view in the chat depends on the app; the link to open the diagram here always works.
